All Tritex Multigauges use the Multiple Echo technique to completely ignore coatings – just the substrate is measured. Using Coating Plus+, up to 20 mm of coatings can be ignored, depending on the coating type.


The gauges are extremely easy to use with so many of the functions automatically taken care of. For example, there is no zero adjustment, no need to change probe settings and no adjustments are required at switch on.

We are serious about our commitment to the environment and as such, all Tritex Multigauges will not contain any prohibited or declarable substances as specified under the RoHS directive, nor will these substances be used in the process of manufacture. Also, we comply with the WEEE directive and will accept back, for safe disposal, any items supplied such as the batteries and LCD displays.

All wall thickness gauges are manufactured to, and comply with, the standard of manufacturing Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges – BS EN 15317:2013. This standard covers the characterisation and verification of ultrasonic thickness measuring equipment to ensure they meet certain criteria of performance and build quality.


We are confident that Tritex Multigauges are built to such exacting standards that we offer a 3 year warranty on all gauges in the range.


All probes have protective membranes which means that the probe should last the lifetime of the gauge. Membranes are easily replaceable and we supply spares with every kit. All probes use a single crystal which means that no specific alignment is required when measuring on curved or rounded surfaces. The gauges are not affected by V-beam error, instead they have perfect linear accuracy.
